New Hope Newsletter - May 4, 2022
New Hope Families,
This week is Teacher and Staff appreciation week. The staff is being spoiled with coffee, donuts, cards, students vacuuming their classrooms, and food prepared by our culinary arts class! I encourage you to find a way to let your student’s teacher know how much they are appreciated this week.
In the midst of appreciating the teachers and staff, I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you! You help with homework, volunteer in classrooms, coach our teams, support events, pack lunches, and truly make New Hope the amazing school it is! I am very grateful for the relationships I get to form with you as we partner together in the education of your children. It is such a blessing and honor! Thank you!
Enjoy this week’s newsletter and the latest edition of the New Hope Torch!
Last Week to Order Yearbooks with Free Shipping - Yearbooks for this school year are available to be pre-ordered through the publishers website through Friday, May 6th. Orders placed by May 6th will ship to the school for distribution, orders not placed by May 6th will incur a shipping charge. Orders can be placed at https://store.shopyearbook.com/newhopechristian. You have the option to choose between hardcover ($32) or softcover ($22).
School Spirit Day! - Students all brought home a school t-shirt last week. It has been fun to see them wearing their shirts here and there, but we would like to have a whole school spirit day. Everyone should wear their school shirt on Friday, May 13th. The elementary and secondary class with the highest percentage of students wearing their shirts will get a special prize!
Spring Performance Information - (From Mr. Hanks) The Spring Program is just around the corner, and like the Christmas performance, your kids have been working hard and have some AWESOME stuff planned for you!
Date: Friday, May 13th
Time: 7pm, kids grades Pre-K - 5 need to be there @ 6:30pm, meeting in the children's wing
Place: Edgewater Christian Fellowship
Attire: Like Christmas, this is going to be FUN! It’s spring, and the sun is out! So Hawaiian type leisure shirts (preferred) with swim trunks/shorts and goofy socks. If you don’t have a Hawaiian shirt, then a shirt that is bright and springy will be just fine.
Get ready to laugh and have a good time! I’m excited, the kids are excited, and we hope you are excited, too!
Calendar Reminders:
May 2nd-20th: MAP Testing for grades K-11
May 2nd-6th: Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
Saturday, May 7th: New Hope Dinner and Auction, tickets can be purchased in the office.
Friday, May 13th: Spring Music Program, 7pm at Edgewater Christian Fellowship
Monday, May 30th: Memorial Day - No School
God Bless!
Annie Burnham
